Accreditation The
independent study section of Seminary Extension is one of the few nationally
accredited self-directed study programs offering theological
courses. The Distance Education and Training
Council (DETC), the only
accrediting body for correspondence schools, granted accreditation to
the Seminary Extension Independent Study program in 1972. Since that time,
the program has maintained the highest level of acceptance by DETC's accrediting
commission.
